Disabilities Pride Alaska - Fairbanks

Each summer Fairbanks joins communities around the state and hosts a Disability Pride Celebration. Disability Pride is a national movement that celebrates diversity.
Disability Pride Alaska seeks to change the way people “SEE” disability, end the stigma of disability, and promote the belief that disability is a natural and beautiful part of human diversity. People with disabilities are the largest and most diverse minority, representing all abilities, ages, races, ethnicities, religions and socio-economic backgrounds.
Alaskans are joining a nationwide Disability Pride movement that celebrates diversity, and promotes dignity, self-acceptance, inclusion, and validation of the human experience.
